SMS Notification Policy

Last updated: October 11, 2026

Purpose

Hillview Events uses SMS only for internal operational notifications to designated event organizers—not for marketing or bulk messaging to the public.

Who receives text messages

SMS alerts are sent only to pre-registered organizer phone numbers (event coordinators who have agreed to receive these alerts). Website visitors and form submitters do not receive SMS from us through the contact form.

What triggers a text message

When a visitor voluntarily submits the "Questions?" contact form on hillviewevents.com (including event pages such as Haunted Hillview), our systems may send one SMS to designated staff containing:

  • Topic and event source page
  • Submitter name
  • Phone or email the submitter provided for a reply
  • A short excerpt of their message

Staff use that information to respond by phone or email—not by adding the person to an SMS list.

Opt-in (organizers / message recipients)

Organizers who receive SMS alerts provide direct, written consent to Hillview Events to receive operational text messages at their mobile number. Consent is limited to internal contact-form alerts for neighborhood events. Organizers may withdraw consent at any time by notifying contact@hillviewevents.com and will be removed from SMS routing.

Opt-in (website visitors / form submitters)

Visitors opt in only to being contacted about their specific inquiry via the phone or email they enter on the form. They do not opt in to receive SMS marketing or recurring texts. See our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.

Message frequency

SMS to organizers are sent on demand when forms are submitted—typically low volume during event planning and event days. No recurring promotional cadence is used.
